Effect of removing items in Pivot Table for Profit & Loss report p 71 72

If we look at the above, we will see the item NR. Now, remember that it is not a Profit & Loss item but indicate a Balance Sheet item. So, we don't want to see this item in the report. To remove from the report, here are the steps:

1. Click on the little downward arrow-head on the right side of PL-CATEGORY cell.

2. A list will appear.

3. Remove the check mark on the left of NR item.

4. Click OK.

5. The new report will exclude NR item.

6. The resulting Grand Total figure is the accumulated profit until end of the year.

If we remove check mark for all the items in the list except the items INCOME and COST OF SALE, we will get the Gross Mangin for the year

If we remove check marks for all the items except the items INCOME, ADMIN EXPENSE. COST OF SALE, DIRECT EXPENSE, LABOUR COST and OTHER INCOME EXPENSE, we will get the Profit Before Tax for the year figure.

If we remove check marks for all the items except the items INCOME, ADMIN EXPENSE, COST OF SALE, DIRECT EXPENSE, LABOUR COST, OTHER INCOME/EXPENSE and COMPANY TAX, we will get the Profit After Tax for the year figure.
