Entering data in sheet Data column BANK RECON (Column M) Page 35

Entering Data In The BANK RECON Column (Column M)

In the BANK RECON column, state the month in which each amount of bank receipt and payment appear in the statement received from bank. For example, you can write 1, 2, 3 etc. or jan, feb, mar, etc

If the amount of Debit or Credit is not related to a bank account (and not subject to reconciliation), state NR (for Not Relevant or other term you want to use).

If the amount of Debit or Credit is related to a bank account (and subject to reconciliation), state open (until it is reconciled).

This column will help us prepare a Bank reconciliation statement.

Entering Data In The DEBTORS STTMNT Column (Column N)

In the DEBTOR STTMNT column, put a mark to indicate whether our sales invoice has been paid. Use pd to mark the paid invoice. Use open to mark invoice still unpaid. If the source is not related to our sales invoice (and not subject to our monitoring of payment), mark NR (for Not Relevant).

This column is useful to find out paid and unpaid invoices by our customers.

Entering Data In The DEBT AGE Column (Column O)

In the DEBT AGE (days) column, cell 05 should already contain the following formula:

=IF (NS="open", CutOffDate-85,"NR")

Just copy the formula to the cells below it.

Please refer to the note on page 11 on how to set the 'Cut OFF Date'.
