24. Delete rows which contain 0 (zero) amounts in column RM-DEBIT and RM-CREDIT.

This is the last step.

After we perform all the operations above, we will find that many transaction rows contain 0 (zero) amounts in both the columns RM-DEBIT and RM-CREDIT in the same row. We can safely delete these rows.

We will identify rows which contain 0 (zero) in both columns RM-DEBIT and RM-CREDIT in the same row. Since 2 columns are involved, we will use an AdvanceFilter operation to identify them, and then delete them.

Here are the steps:

1. Set the following criteria in a separate criteria sheet:

1	RM-DEBIT	RM-CREDIT

This criteria states that we want to select rows where both RM-DEBIT column and RM-CREDIT column contain zero (in the same row).

2. Go back to the sheet DATA.

3. Make sure the active cell is in the data area.

4. Click menu Data/Filter/Advance Filter to open the Advance Filter dialog box.

5. The List range box is automatically filled with the address of the data area. Check that it is correct; otherwise you have to correct your data area.

6. Fill the Criteria range box with the address of the criteria you set above.

7. Make sure the box on the left of Unique items only is not marked.

8. Click OK.

9. Now your data is filtered according to the setting in the criteria block.

10. Highlight all the rows of data from row 5 to the last row.

11. Click menu Edit/Go To to open the Go To dialog.

12. Click on the Specials button to open the Go To Specials dialog.

13. Select Visible Cells Only.

14. Click OK.

15. Now, only visible cells are actually selected. Hidden cells are not selected. This is the result of steps 12 to 14.

16. Click menu Edit/Delete Rows.

17. Now the visible rows are deleted. Hidden rows are not affected.

18. Remove the filtering mode (Click menu Data/Filter/Show All).

19. Save the file.
